A sweeping, heartbreaking West African epic of ancestral heritage colliding with runaway capitalist greed. When the discovery of gold and oil brings armed land guards and corrupt palace deals to the ancient Ghanaian village kingdom of Mpasa, ancestral pathways are violently replaced by concrete walls.

With the local legal system rigged for the highest bidder, a proud elder and a defrauded retired schoolteacher watch their legacies dissolve into a web of counterfeit paper. As the state courts offer nothing but wallet-draining delays, the village youth turn to the torch and the machete for justice.

Told with cinematic pacing, rich local banter, and deep philosophical weight, The Rusted Crown is a powerful exploration of a community fighting to save its soul from the smoke of progress.
